Sisterhood
The Kappa Omega chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha prides itself on the sisterly bond between its members. The Sisterhood Chairmen, responsible for encouraging and nurturing this sisterly love, focuses on sharing what true sisterhood is all about through.
Each month, the chairmen plan a fun activity or outing for all members of the chapter to participate in. Some examples include paintball, blanket making, workout classes, yoga, a salsa lesson, and even sledding and decorating gingerbread houses in the Winter. One of the chapter's most cherished sisterhood events is our annual trip to Eckert's in the Fall for apple picking, pumpkins, and hayrides! Sometimes, the Sisterhood Chairmen even surprise our chapter with unexpected sisterhood events during our usual meetings!
Every week the Sisterhood Chairmen host "Mealz" where members are encouraged to gather together for a meal at a specific time and place on campus. They are always mixing up times and locations around campus, so it is an exciting thing to look forward to during every week!
While separated and quarantined due to COVID-19, our chapter created amazing opportunities for our sisters to remain connected to each other. We created a quarantine survival guide full of uplifting content, activities, recipes, music, and movie recommendations from our own members. The Sisterhood Chairmen organized movie nights, baking events, and weekly yoga sessions through Zoom as well as a monthly Pen Pal system within our chapter!
Sisterhood is prized in all Panhellenic organizations, and is especially valued here in the Kappa Omega chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha.
